Volunteering with Campo Base

I volontari di Campo Base fanno parte delle nostre sessioni di estive a Castel Campo per giovani adulti, bambini e ragazzi con malattie gravi, ed anche per i nostri altri eventi durante l’anno.

What kind of volunteer do you think you would be?

During camps we run various sports, recreational and creative activities, organized to help build participants' self-esteem. In addition to activities and games on site, we also organize several outings (Lake Garda, Adventure Park, City of Trento).

The role of the Camp volunteer is to accompany all participants (who may be children or adults) during the week's program by supporting or running activities (Theater, Photo/Video, Outdoor Games, etc.). For sessions with lone children, to assist them in the evening and morning in the dormitory.

In addition to participation during camp activities, we also need help with the very important work in our kitchen!

Kitchen helpers assist our amazing chefs with meal preparation and cleaning up.

Campo Base also runs games, recreational and workshop activities at our Castel Campo headquarters or off-site in many contexts, for example our annual Artisan Luna Park goes "on tour" to Trento to support children in Trento's pediatric department.

The team helps us with more "short-term" activities (day-long), depending on the case, with their play skills, their smiles, and their willingness to help.

What are the requirements to participate?

  • Minimo 21 anni di età.
  • Be available for training days and for the required attendance for the role you choose (see below).
  • Be motivated and available for the needs of the camp and the participants.
  • Required attendance:
    For Camp Team volunteers, attendance is required during all camp days and pre-project training (2 days before start). Kitchen Team helpers can be available for just part of the camp days (we ask for a minimum participation of 3 days)

Selection process

  • Write an email to info@associazionecampobase.org per manifestare il proprio interesse.
  • Complete the application form we will send you in all its parts and provide the required references.
  • Attend selection interviews.
  • Attend volunteer training.

What are the activity periods?

Campo Base has various activities during summer, as well as spring and autumn.
